What is the difference between shotcrete and gunite?

Both are spray-applied concrete methods, but they differ in how the mix is prepared. Gunite is a dry-mix process where water is added at the nozzle during application, while shotcrete uses a wet mix that is fully prepared before spraying. Shotcrete's wet-mix process results in a more consistent, denser, and higher-strength finish, making it the preferred choice for modern construction projects.
